Respect for Intellectual Property

WatchCompared respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement per the DMCA (17 U.S.C. §512).

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on WatchCompared infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing:

• Identification of the copyrighted work
• URL(s) of the allegedly infringing material on our site
• Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
• Your physical or electronic signature

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification containing:

• Your name, address, and phone number
• Identification of removed material and its location before removal
• Statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake
• Consent to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court in which your address is located
• Your signature

Timeline

We aim to acknowledge DMCA notices within 5 business days. Infringing material will be removed or disabled promptly. Counter-notifications will be processed within 10-14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat Infringer Policy

We will terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Good Faith

Misrepresentation in a DMCA notice or counter-notification may result in liability for damages including costs and attorney fees.
