WatchCompared is a community of watch enthusiasts. Whether you're sharing reviews, uploading photos, discussing in forums, or building your collection, these guidelines help keep the community welcoming and useful for everyone.

What We Encourage

• Honest, detailed reviews based on your own experience
• Original photos of watches you own or have handled
• Helpful, constructive discussions and questions
• Sharing knowledge about watch specifications, history, and care
• Respectful disagreement and diverse opinions

Content Standards

All user-generated content (reviews, photos, forum posts, comments) must:

• Be your own original work or properly attributed
• Be accurate and based on genuine experience
• Respect others' intellectual property rights
• Not contain personal information about others without consent

Prohibited Content

• Spam, self-promotion, or affiliate link posting
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks
• Hate speech or discrimination
• Counterfeit watch promotion or sales
• Copyright-infringing images or text
• Misleading information intended to deceive
• Doxxing or sharing others' private information
• Illegal content or activity promotion
• Sexually explicit or gratuitously violent content

Photos and Images

When uploading images: you must own the photo or have permission to use it. Do not upload photos from brand websites, retailers, or other users without permission. Stock photos and marketing images are not allowed as user submissions.

Reviews and Ratings

Reviews should reflect genuine opinions based on actual experience with the watch. Do not post reviews for watches you have not owned or tried. Do not accept compensation for reviews without disclosure.

Moderation

Our moderation team reviews content to ensure it meets these guidelines. Content that violates these guidelines may be removed without notice. We may also edit, move, or close forum threads to maintain community quality.

Consequences

Violations may result in: content removal, temporary account restriction, permanent account suspension. Severity depends on the nature and frequency of violations. We aim to be fair and proportionate.

Reporting

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it. You can reach us at support@watchcompared.com or use the report function where available. All reports are reviewed.

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed in error or your account was restricted unfairly, contact us at support@watchcompared.com with details. We will review your appeal and respond.

Changes

We may update these guidelines. Continued use of the community features after changes constitutes acceptance.
